About Young Art

Young Art was started 22 years ago and is now the largest annual Exhibition of its kind in London, where young artists have the chance to exhibit their work at the Royal College of Art, one of the most prestigious venues in Britain, in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Young Art has raised in twenty-two years in excess of half a million pounds for Cancer Research UK for its research into the genetic causes of cancer in children. It is a wonderful opportunity for young talents to help others of their own age whose futures are not quite so assured. Young Art was awarded the Devonshire Shield 2001 by Cancer Research Campaign for the best national volunteer fundraiser. The concept of Young Art is brilliantly simple as all the work is voluntary and all materials required to mount the exhibition are donated which allows the overheads to be minimal. Therefore virtually all of the money raised goes direct to the charity. Further information is available here.
