How it works . . .Children helping ChildrenAny school is welcome to enter the competition by submitting paintings from pupils who donate a £2.00 entry fee which goes to help children with cancer – the idea being children helping children.
Pictures are collected from participating schools each January by the Young Art committee of volunteers who sort them into age groups for judging. The entries are judged by leading artists, the winners professionally framed and the rest are mounted and exhibited at the Royal College of Art each May. The sale of pictures is by way of voluntary donation and postcards can be ordered of all pictures in the exhibition. A catalogue is also printed which lists the exhibitors names.
