2010 Exhibition

The 20th Young Art Exhibition at the Royal College of Art May 2010

In January 2010 a total of 7,437 entries were received from 92 schools. Young Art is most fortunate to have the support of its distinguished Patron, Professor Ken Howard OBE RA, and Dr Paul Thompson, Rector and Vice-Provost of the Royal College of Art, who selects the Rector's Prize from the A-level entries. This year's Exhibition was judged by leading artists, Humphrey Ocean RA, Chris Orr, MBE, RA., William Packer, Alan Ramsay and Nicola Bayley.  Young Art is also delighted to have the continuing support of Sir Christopher Frayling who selected the Frayling Prize.

The 2010 Exhibition was held in May at the Royal College of Art when 662 works where exhibited. Most of the works were sold as well as over 18,000 postcards made of the images which has raised over £70,000.

The exhibitions are run each year by a committee of volunteers who rely enormously on the support of generous suppliers who donate all the essential materials required to mount the exhibitions. This keeps expenses to a bare minimum allowing virtually all the money raised going direct to the charity.

In addition to the Young Art Exhibition held in London at the Royal College of Art each year, there are also Young Art Exhibitions held throughout the year in East Anglia, Oxford, Hampshire and Scotland.
